Presidential Country Club, is a Semi-Private, open to the public, 18 hole golf course located in North Miami Beach, Florida.
Presidential Country Club first opened for play in 1999. The course was re-designed by Tommy Fazio, the nephew of famed architect Tom Fazio.
The course has rolling fairways and contoured, well-bunkered greens that require shot accuracy. The fairways are fairly tight with either new homes or oak hammocks (the new homes are actually quite attractive). There is water in play on almost every hole. Golf amenities include a putting green, chipping green, and warm-up station.
With four tee boxes to select from, this championship course is playable for all handicaps, with a number of forced carries if you play from the back. The Blue tees play to a distance of 6,576 yards, The White tees play to 6,148 yards, The Green play to 5,513 yards and The Red play to 4,980 yards. Par for Presidential is 71.
Your best chance for a birdie is probably on Hole #8. This is a short par-4 at 304 yards from the men's tees. But watch out for Hole #14. This 375-yard par 4 is the #1 handicap hole at Presidential.
The course closed in 2009.
A developer has proposed building 36 upscale single-family homes on the grounds of the defunct Presidential Country Club.
